ReMEMBER Campaign Day 19: CUPE

We just got back from the Premier's Puppet Parade through downtown Halifax. Em and I could be found carrying the giant version of Saskatchewan's premier. Find out more about public health care issues today when you get some time. Hint: There were many members of this member at the Puppet Parade. This member is Canada's largest union with 618,000 members! The Basics: The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) "represents workers in health care, education, municipalities, libraries, universities, social services, public utilities, transportation, emergency services and airlines." The CUPE Global Justice Committee from PEI, NS, NB, and Nfld. are members of ACIC. "A strong and democratic union, CUPE is committed to improving the quality of life for workers in Canada. Women and men working together to form local unions built CUPE. They did so to have a stronger voice – a collective voice – in their workplace and in society as a whole." WHY WE LOVE CUPE:

  • No matter where you are in the country, you can find em.

  • Ads that create awareness

  • Easy to stay up to date with goings on across the nation!

i want to spend more time with CUPE:

  • Check out their past publications!
