About the event
Raising Our Voices: Tools for Meaningful Engagement is a hands-on workshop designed for ACIC members who want to build the skills needed to engage with decision-makers and drive meaningful change. Grassroots voices are a powerful force in shaping policies and influencing public discourse, but many people are unsure how to navigate decision-making spaces effectively. This workshop will provide participants with the tools and confidence to engage with policymakers, communicate their message clearly, and build relationships that lead to tangible impact.
The session will explore key strategies for policy engagement, including how to effectively frame issues, connect with elected officials, and contribute to important conversations in a way that resonates. Through interactive discussions, participants will gain a stronger understanding of how policies are shaped and where public voices fit into the process. The workshop will also provide opportunities for participants to develop their own messaging and practice engagement strategies in a supportive environment.
