Invitation to Meet with Global Affairs Canada – January 15th, 2025

We are pleased to invite you to an exclusive meeting with Manuel Lebris, Chief of Operations and Deputy Director of the Pan Africa and Regional Development Division of the Africa Branch at Global Affairs Canada. This meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 15th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Delmore Buddy Daye Learning Institute (5450 Nora Bernard St, Halifax) and will also be accessible online via Zoom.

This event offers a valuable opportunity to engage with Mr. Lebris and other Global Affairs Canada representatives, share insights about your organization’s work, and explore avenues for collaboration.

9:45 AM – Arrival and coffee (for in-person participants)

10:00 AM – Welcome/Introduction by ACIC (virtual participants join at this time)

10:15 AM – Discussion with Global Affairs Canada

10:45 AM – Round Table Discussion (each organization will have 3 minutes to present)

11:30 AM – Q&A

Mr. Lebris will also be available for in-person one-on-one meetings after the round table discussion. If your organization has specific questions or topics to address, please let us know in advance so we can schedule a time for you.

Manuel Lebris

Since August 2024, Manuel has served as the Chief of Operations and Deputy Director of the Pan-Africa and Regional Development Division at Global Affairs Canada. He began his career in international development in 2001 with the former Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Over the years, he has held various roles, including project officer, analyst, deputy director, and director, working on geographic programs (India, Latin America, Haiti, Africa), thematic divisions (education, social empowerment, international financial institutions/regional development banks), and strategic coordination units. From 2006 to 2008, Manuel was posted to Nicaragua.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Geography from Concordia University, a Master’s in Environment from Sherbrooke University, and an International MBA from Ottawa University.
