Part of International Development week!
Trips By Transit is partnering with the Atlantic Council for International Cooperation for International Development Week! This week is promoting the Sustainable Development Goals- we will be focusing on SDG 11 (sustainable cities and communities) as well as SDG 13 (climate change action).
This hike will focus on helping you connect with the self, nature, and the community! We believe this is extremely important as we want to help increase how connected people are to their communities.
We will be meeting at the Halifax Terminal and will take the ferry to the Alderney Terminal. If you are joining us from the Dartmouth side, please meet us at the Alderney Terminal doors at 4pm.
We will walk the Woodside trail while engaging in a discussion surrounding Sustainable Transportation with Dani Miller. Dani is an advocate for the use of alternative and sustainable ways of transportation while having a deep passion for ecological and wilderness conservation spaces in the area.
After the short walk, we will return to a community space to warm up, have some snacks and give participants the opportunity to delve further unto the talk/discussion.
