The Canadian Red Cross Global Health Unit, in partnership with Dalhousie Global Health Office, will host a panel discussion around best practices in addressing malnutrition in women, children, infants and youth in complex environments.

Discussions will focus on the often-overlooked impacts that disasters, emergencies and conflicts have on women and children, and what considerations need to be taken when addressing the health needs of these vulnerable groups. Panelists will cover topics including: non-communicable diseases, such as malnutrition and severe acute malnutrition; and Mother Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) in emergencies and complex humanitarian disasters.
