About the event

This two-day retreat invites participants to move beyond theory and engage deeply with how anti-racist, decolonial, and feminist approaches shape our work in practice. Together, we will examine how power operates within our organizations, policies, partnerships, and international cooperation efforts, influencing whose knowledge is centered, whose leadership is legitimized, and whose safety is prioritized.

Through facilitated dialogue and reflective exercises, participants will explore how to identify structural inequities, how these dynamics shape them and their work, and how to embed more accountable, power-responsive practices into their daily work. Grounded in the Safer Spaces program, this retreat aims to create a collective space to critically question assumptions, confront institutional tensions, and strengthen our collective capacity to advance equity with intention and integrity.

Travel subsidies are available for retreat participants. Deadline for retreat registration is March 16. Confirmation of registration will be sent out the week of March 16th.
