About the event
The IDW Creatives Summit 2026 is a two-day, youth-led public engagement initiative taking place in Saint John during International Development Week. The summit brings together Black, Indigenous, and racialized youth ages 13 to 30 to explore identity, creativity, leadership, and global responsibility.
Led by youth from the Black Business and Professional Network's Youth Entrepreneur Talent Accelerator Program alum class of 2025, this summit creates a culturally affirming "SAFE" space where young people can engage in meaningful dialogue, creative expression, and leadership development. The event connects local lived experiences to global development themes through arts-based learning, storytelling, and community-centred conversations.
The summit is designed to strengthen youth leadership, build confidence, and foster long-term peer networks that support continued civic and community engagement.
Funding Acknowledgement
