HAPPY 35th BIRTHDAY ACIC!

Happy 35th ACIC!

The 35th ACIC annual general meeting was held at UPEI in Charlottetown from June 10th to 12th 2010. Entitled “Zen and the Art of Public Engagement” the 3 day symposium included sessions highlighting the work of ACIC members and workshops focused exploring how the arts and creative collaboration can be an effective tool for community organizing. Internationally acclaimed Montreal performance artist Norman Nawrocki was the keynote speaker and shared inspiring examples of his own and other's creative activism. Music, theatre, poetry, visual arts and humour were presented as exciting methods to engage the public and bring creative expression into our projects.
