ACIC’s programming is developed through member consultation, agreed upon by the Board, and then implemented by the Executive Director and staff. The latest strategic planning process began at the Strategic Planning session organised at the 2005 AGM in Sackville, New Brunswick. Based on the suggestions from ACIC members and within the framework of ACIC’s Vision, Goals and Objectives, the Board of Directors has set the following priorities for the next three years:

• To provide a forum for policy dialogue and development in order to articulate the viewpoints of members and their partners
• To provide members with capacity building opportunities that are responsive to their articulated needs
• To coordinate effective public engagement activities with fl exibility and energy
• To strengthen ACIC’s ability to function effectively and sustainably as a coalition
